This application displays a spinning 3D Earth where blog activity is visualized through vertical columns that appear whenever a new blog post is published around the globe, alongside a constantly updating ticker of blog post titles.

Twingly Screensaver connects to a broad data source, updating every few seconds to reflect the latest posts published across the internet. As new blog posts are detected, columns rise from the corresponding geographical locations on the 3D globe. This creates a constantly shifting visual landscape that highlights global activity in real time.

Interactive Experience

Pressing the “I” key activates interactive mode, granting the user the ability to virtually “grab” and rotate the globe to view different regions. The interactive mode allows for zooming in or out, and selecting columns to view detailed blog information, including post titles and sources.
